Located at the northern end of Marine Drive in South Mumbai, this attractive beach has many amusement and entertainment facilities. This lively beach is most famous for the eateries and food stalls that keep increasing every day. In fact, if you say Chowpatty, the first thing that comes to mind is a bhel puri and not the beach itself! Local delicacies such as Pav Bhaji, Pani Puri and Kulfi are sold at local stalls on the beach. Chowpatty Beach is connected to all parts of Mumbai and can be reached by buses, trains, autos and taxis.

Children will find this beach especially enticing. They can enjoy ferry rides, pony rides, buy balloons and toys, etc. Many festivals are held here throughout the year. The most famous ones held here are Coconut Festival and Ganesh Chaturthi. They’re attended by a lot of people.

Besides these attractions, tourists can enjoy themselves at the exhibitions and halls that put up beebee-gun shooting galleries, contortionists, snake charmers and monkey-trainers. There are professional masseurs, too.
