Juhu Beach
- Being the most famous beach in Mumbai tourists should definitely visit it. It is located in one of Mumbai’s most posh locations. The three main entrances to the beach are from Vile Parle, Santacruz and Andheri. On the southern end of Juhu beach there are many luxury hotels and apartments. There are several coffee shops and restaurants, too.
A load of celebrities, Bollywood actors and important personalities have their residences in Juhu. There are numerous places to visit, too, around Juhu – ISKCON temple, the Mukteshwar Devalaya on Gandhigram Road, Siddhi Vinayak Temple, St Joseph's Church, Mahalaxmi Temple, Vittal Rukmani Temple at Juhu Koliwada and Holy Cross Church, Juhu Koliwada
Gandhi Gram is located at the north end of Juhu Beach. When Mahatma Gandhi used to practice in the Bombay high court in the late 1800s and early 1900s, he used to live in this place. Gandhiji also mentions in his autobiography that he used to walk from Juhu to Bandra station to catch a train to south Mumbai.
The beach becomes lively in the evenings. Special shows and performances are showcased at night here. The beach is known for its Mumbai street food. And the kind of the food available here is more hygienic than in other beaches.
