About Mumbai

Marine Drive
It is also called Netaji Subhash Chandra road. This C-shaped, three-km stretch is a popular hangout in Mumbai. It is located in south Mumbai and has a six-lane road adjoining it. The Marine Drive is built on reclaimed land and is located on a west-south-west direction. It connects Nariman Point to Babulnath and Malabar Hill. The walkway lining the Marine Drive is beautiful, especially at nights. Palm trees and shrubs line the road here. On one side is the Arabian Sea and old buildings from the 1920s and 1930s on the other. In the late evenings and nights the place is lit up with lights all over. As they resemble a string of pearls, it’s also fondly referred to as the Queen’s Necklace. Many important events are held on this road. Many boat shows, air shows and the famous Mumbai Marathon are popularly watched and participated by hundreds of people.
